“Berlin Bishkek Art Weeks” 2023

The series “ Tribute to Aisluluu“

was inspired by the Kirghiz wrestler Aisuluu Tynybekova, whose story highlights the ways in which physicality is often judged based on cultural and moral criteria. The exhibition raises questions about how we can empower ourselves to overcome the limits imposed by our backgrounds and gender, and invites visitors to consider the ways in which these issues intersect with the global conversation about migration.
